Using Squidoo To Attract Targeted Buyers

How To Use "Squidoo" To Attract Targeted Buyers

Here is a traffic getting technique that could help you get traffic quick and  this maybe an avenue that you have not considered using yet. We all know in the beginning when we first start marketing whatever product we have to offer, the advertising and marketing budget may not be very big. Sometimes the budget for marketing may not even exist at all. So I would like to discuss how you can start a marketing campain that is completely free and  if done correctly could bring targed buyers to your product or website.

"Squidoo" is a free platform that anyone can us to catapult their business to a new level. If you do no have a Squidoo account, just go to squidoo.com. Using Squidoo to attract targeted buyers can really take you new business to a new level.  If you use Squidoo the right way,  you can actually get a front page listing in Google for free within 3 days to 2 weeks! You must use keyword optimization. Using common keywords is the best way to to optimize keywors. Last week I wrote a post explaining this technique in detail. Feel free to refer back to that post. When you first set up your Squidoo page (they are called lenses) you will have different modules on the page. Modules are like widgets in wordpress. You can have more than one lens. Some people have 20 or more lenses about diiferent products.

For Squidoo page optimization, you should not need to keep all of these modules on your lens. You may want to keep the guest book for comments, but I would keep in on the lower part of your page. When Using Squidoo to attract targeted buyers, you need to have at least 4 modules on your lens. Here are the modules you will need...

*Introduction Module- This will already be on your lens.
*Text Module - This will be on your lens.
*Text Module
*Text Module
*Text Module
*RSS Module

When you set up your page, you will already have a couple of text modules and an rss module and some other modules for Flickr ect.  You do not need Flickr for optimization. Delete all the other modules that are not listed here, unless you want to keep the guestbook module. You may need to delete the rss and guestbook modules if there are not enough text modules on the lens to get them in the right order. After you delete these, the text modules should one after another to make the page flow. You want the text modules to be one right after the other and the rss module at the bottom of the page. Then you can click on the add modules tab and add these modules back to the page and they will be under the text modules at the bottom of the page where they should be.  For an example go here...
Here is one of my lenses to look at...
 http://www.squidoo.com/GoToWealthyAffiliateUniversity
Before you decide what you want your lens to be about, consider the keywords you want to use. Do you want to write about a product or do a product review? Go to Google adwords by searching for "Google Adwords, type in a main keyword and scale down to more targeted keywords with less traffic. Don't use keywords that have too much traffic. Try to pick a keyword such as "how to train dog not to bark". It gets less searches but is much more targeted and you will have less competition. No more than 200-5000 searches for a keyword is good. If so, look at my lens for some ideas. Try to keep your subject focused around the main keyword. Some tips for writing in you r text modules are...

Try to use you main keword in each module and use common keywords. Write a paragraph making some points about the product you are reviewing. Talk about the benefits to the reader. It doesn't need to be any more that 200 to 500 words total.

Into- Tell them what you are going to them
Body- Tell them
Summary- Tell them what you told them

Add revelvent pictures next to the text. Do this by uploading a picture. If you want to upload a picture of the product you are promoting, then save it to your computer first. Do this by right clicking on the picture you want to use, then click save picture as to a folder on your compter, then upload. Try to put a relevent picture in each text module to keep the page interesting.

*Text modules- If you want to make the subheading for each text module bold, you have to enter a code. I would suggest entering this into the box where you are going to write your text because the code can the mess the text in the sub heading box up by overlapping the text. Just enter your heading in the text box and then hit enter to add a space to write the remainder of youy text. Go here to get the code to bold you subheading... scroll down until you see the code for bold text
http://www.squidoo.com/lenstypography

You can change the size of the font by changing the number 30 to 24 or what ever size you want. Just experiment. Bolding your subheading will help stand out to the search engines.

*RSS module_ When you add an rss feed to your Squidoo lens go to http://blogsearch.google.com/
and do a search fo a relevant feed. If your lens is about dogs, then do a search for "dogs" and click on the rss link at the bottom left of the page. Copy the url and paste it into you rss module where it sais "url"
Set the content to excerpt (100 characters)
Set it to be updated daily
Set it to show only one headline to start with. Once your lens gets listed in the search engines, slowly add more heading for the rss . Starting with too many links can slow your lens lens from getting listed.

In the beginning, try not to put any links on your lens. I know this sounds crazy, but you will get listed faster if you don't have any links on there. Don't forget to add your keyword tags. Then after you are listed, then slowly add your links, one day at a time and slowly increase your rss headlines to about 4 or five. This gives your lens "fresh" relevent content. If you want to add you blog, you can, but I would wait until your lens gets listed first.

*Next, submit your lens to the search engines. You can go here...
http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl

*After you do that, then ping your site at pingler.com
(pingoat.com is currently down and may be shutting down for good. The above is a good alternative to pingoat).

*Last but not least, use social bookmarking sites to bookmark your sites and add it to social sites. Start with Delicious and Digg and slowly add more. Don't do this all at once. Here are a few other social sites.
onlywire.com, aboogy, reddit or whatever you can think of.

One last thing about your rss feed....

Use Yahoo Pipe to mashed up your RSS.

RSS is great, but it works like any other content for search engine.

If your RSS is the same one appearing in other website, this can lower its effectiveness.

Yahoo Pipe will take RSS feed from different sources and mashed it up to give you a unique set.

What I do is drag out 5 "Fetch Feed" module (under "Sources"). In each "fetch feed" place the url of relevant feed, with slightly different keywords.

If this is for before your page get indexed, make sure the feeds are from the same source... for example, five different feed from Digg and Digg ONLY with keywords "internet money", "cash online", "ebusiness", "affiliate marketing" and "ecommerce".

Then drag out the "Union" module (under "Operators"), and connect all the feed to it.

Next drag out the "Content Analysis" module (under "Operators") and connect "Union" to it.

Then finish the loop and connect it to "Pipe Output".

Run the Pipe, save it and get the url for your Squidoo.

It is as confusing as it sounds... so grab a coffee, relax and play around with it for 30mins or so.

I hope this has been an informative read for you. Till next time.

Using Common Keywords In Your Ads And Article Marketing Campaigns

Today I would like to discuss how to write an effective ad with the use of common keywords in your ads and your article marketing campaigns.
It's really a very simple technique once you learn how to do this. It doesn't cost any money to use these article marketing and ad placement techniques to get ranked on the first page of Google, but it will take some effort. Of course, in order to do this, you must use optimized and targeted keywords.  It's hard to do this if you just know what to look for. Many online marketers are unaware of how simple and effective this technique can really be when done correctly. When I first learned about this free traffic getting technique, I was both excited and awe struck at the same time.

Previously I discussed simple techniques about how to write your first article. Today I'm discussing how to get free traffic to your article but let's cover first thing first.

1. You must utilize targeted keywords in your headline, subtitle and in your article and ad copy.

2. You must use you main keywords in your "title"your" subtitle" and your "body".
Example:  Train Your Dog Not To Bark (title),(targeted longtail keywords)

Learn How To Train Your Dog Not To Bark(subtile)(targeted longtail keywords)

3. You must submit these articles and ads to article directories and ad placement services.

4. All article directories are not equal. There are three article directories that Google loves. They are ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com and searchwarp. Each of these directories are free and very easy to use. All you need to do is to sign up and get started. With these article directories, you can put a couple of lines of relevent text with your link in the resource box. If an ezine picks up your article, you may wake up and have hundreds of dollars in sales overnight!

5. There is an ad placement agency that Google loves also. The name of the ad service is UsFreeAds. If you place an ad correctly, your ad very likely will be on the front page with your keywords in 2 days to 2 weeks.

*When you use article ezine.com, you are not allowed to put a direct affiliate link in the resource box or in the article, so you will need either a blog or your own website. Google loves wordpress and squidoo, which are both free to use. Just go there and set up an account.

*Goarticles.com wll let you use your affiliate link in the resource box.

*UsFreeAds will actually let you put an opt in form in your ad to help you build your list.

As far as the keyword research goes, all you do is go to Google keyword tool and type in a keyword for the niche you want to advertise such as "weight loss" and it will give you many more keywords related to this that are more targeted, such as "weight loss plans" These more targeted keywords don't have as many searches, but that can be a good thing for you because there is less competition and they are more targeted keywords. The more targeted the keyword, the more likely the searcher is to buy your product. If you don't have a product to sell, Clickbank Marketplace is a very good place to start. You can sign up there for free. Type in a keyword for your niche and it will show you the best selling products in order.

The last tip I would like to mention is to get started asap and write as many articles as you can. Soon you will have droves of free traffic and your article could be all over the internet getting more backlinks than you can handle which equals more traffic and more sales for you. I wish you all the best with you marketing. If you have any comments or questions, please don't hesitate. Thanks for reading.

2 Simple Ways To Build Your Build Fast

Everyone knows that if you have an audience, you are much more likely to sell what you have to offer and if you have a list of people who have already shown an interest in you, then you are already way ahead of the game. Building a list is the best way to have an audience. You can contact your list at any given time for new product reviews and so on. The best part is that you don't need to have your own product. All you need to do is to find a great product and become an affiliate and then promote it to your list. Of course, the larger your list is the better.
This is a general description of how squeeze pages work. If you are an affiliate of a product that you really like and want to promote but you also want to build your list, then advertise the squeeze page, and then let your autoresponder do the the selling for you. I like Get Response. It is free until you get at least 10 opt ins. Make sure you put at the bottom of your opt in follow up email a p.s. statement letting them know about the great product that you would like to recommend. As far as where to place a sqeeze page. Your wordpress blog would be an excellent place to put it. There are differences in the wordpress.com and the wordpres.org blogs. There are some drawbacks to each and the fact that the word.com blog is easier to set up, but one of the draw backs is that you can not put and opt in form on it. You can use an RSS feed which people can opt into. It's not the same as an opt in form though because they are receiving yor blog feed instead of yor email follow ups, but it's still a way to reach yor audience. There are several "readers" available, and they are completely free to use. All you need to do is sign up or you can opt in to receive the updated posts via email and will receive it in you email everytime a new post is made.
You can also advertise a squeeze page via pay per click or Gooogle adwords, but I would suggest putting it on a blog, because it's free this way. In a future post I will tell you about a great blogging system. It is not free, but it far surpasses any of the free blogs available, and will help skyrocket your business.
One more way I would like to discuss about building your list which it is essential for every serious internet marketer to do if he/she is serious about making money online. There are onine builders availble that are phenominal to start with and they are free. Especially if you have not started to build a list yet. It is essential that you get started right away. Here is a product that can help you get started building you list quickly and easily in addition to utilizing landing/squeeze pages. Go here....http://tinyurl.com/ku9u7l

Podcasting Tips

Podcasting is a little known extremely effective way to advertise and to create a huge following. Very few people are actually utilizing this form of advertising. It can really help with building your list as well because people are able to subscribe to your podcast from many different resources such as iTunes. They can take their iPod with them anywhere they go such as on a walk, driving, shopping ect. Anywhere they go, you can go with them! It's also cost effective.
Many people are intimidated by the prospect of doing this form of advertising mainly because of the technical aspects of setting up a podcast and what to talk about. Actually it is alot easier and more affordable than one might think. When I first learned about this form of advertising, I was actually surprised at how simple it really can be. If we can get past the initial intimidation factor and get started, it actually only takes about about 20 or so minutes per week, so it's also time effective. Here are some tips on how to get started...
1. You need a microphone.
2. You need an audio recording program. Audacity is an excellent free program that you can use.
You can look it up on Google and download it for free.
3. You need a hosting account for your podcast. Just go to podomatic.com and they will host your podcasting account and actually give you a blog for your podcasting.
Happy podcasting!

Effective Ways of Getting Traffic To Your Blog

Your blog should be your main avenue of driving traffic to your main website or offer. With wordpress blogs, you can create specific pages in your blog that can actually advertise different offers you have. They are static pages and are always visible to your blog readers. All they have to do is click on the different tabs at the top of the page to read about them. You can do anything with these pages that you want to do. I would suggest using them to promote other offers and make an "About Me"page. There are other places to place your offers on your wordpress blog. All you need to do is click on the links tab and add your links. They will show up in your sidebar, usually on the right side. Where exactly it is located depends on the template you have chosen to use since different templates vary on the layout of your page.
There are a few different ways to get traffic to your blog.
1. After you write a post, ping your site. First, let me explain what pinging is. It is basically a directory of the most popular blog sites to list your site in. This is a good site to go to. It's called Ping Goat pinging site.
When you write your post, after you click the publish button, look at the bottom of the page. There will be a link at the bottom of your post that will say Permlink. This is a link that is specific to your new post. Click on this link and use this link when you ping your site at Ping Goat. This link will have the date in it that the post was made and the subject that the post is about. This will let the search engines know that the post is brand new and what exactly it is about, so try to use relevent keywords in your title because this is what will be in the Permalink and this will help the search engines to spider your content to know exactly what your post is about.
2. Write articles. If you are not used to writing articles, there are several places on the web that will give you tips to writing articles.Article writing is one of the most effectice ways to get traffic to your blog. This is one of the best and most effective ways to get links to your blog, which is essential if you want to be recognized by the search engines. Try to write at least one article today. If you write at least one per day, this will be a good start. Once you get good at it, you shoud be able to crank an article in 15 minutes. Tommorrow, I will give some tips on how to write an effective article. They are very simple and anyone can follow them. You do not have to to be a professional writer to succeed at this. It does work if you put your mind to it and take action. All you do after you complete the article is put your link at the botton of the article to you blog site. Then you submit it to an article directory. All article directories are not equal. Three very good article directories recognized by Google are...
EzineArticles.com
goarticles.com
isnare.com
3. To to write a blog post everyday because Google looks at every post you write and ping as a separate page. The more pages you have, the more you will be recognized by Google.
4. Make five comments every day on other peoples blogs. This will also help to get links to your site. Find blogs that are relevent to your content that day, and don't forget to use tags. This tells the search engines the category of your blog. Make a comment and the boottom of their page relevent to what the blog is about and then put your link underneath your comment. They will more than likely have to approve the comment, but as long as your comment is relevent and nothing offensive , then there should be no problem. This is to keep blog from being spammed. There is software that blasts comments out, which is considered to be spam and I do not reccommend using this type of software becuase it could get your blog banned. If you need to find blogs to make comments on, just type in the word "blog" in Google and you will find all sorts of blogs that way.
